Shelf Life
We micro-filter and UV filter our hydrosols for optimum shelf life. They keep a much longer shelf life (up to 5 years!) in the refrigerator, but only need to be stored out of sunlight and heat. Our labels suggest to store in a cool, dark place.
About Veriditas Botanicals
Our hydrosols are distilled in stainless steel stills and processed through certified organic methods in Europe – BIO, SIMPLE and ECOCERT. True hydrosols are not essential oils added to water; they are the bi-product of essential oil distillation. Also known as floral waters, hydrolates, flower waters or distillates, hydrosols contain all of the water-soluble elements of a plant and are very effective for skin care, as well as extremely safe. As they are a milder extract, hydrosols are suitable for all manner of applications where essential oils would be too strong. In most hydrosols there is less than 5% naturally occurring essential oil.

Frankincense Hydrosol
Sanaag Region, Somaliland
Face: Sweet, Balancing and Tonifying. Spray liberally on face to rebalance skin PH and soothe acne, blemishes, cuts, wounds or sores. May be used to prepare face for Veriditas Acne Treatment or Rose Regenerative Treatment. Body: A great anti-microbial and gentle enough for children or sensitive skin. Home: One of the most valued herbs of Biblical times, Frankincence is often used to prepare the body and mind for prayer, yoga or meditation. Spray yourself and your space to clear, ground and restore. A fresh and wonderful smokeless alternative to smudging for “clearing” spaces.
Rose Geranium Hydrosol
Pelargonium graveolens – Provence, France
Rose Geranium has a soft and delicate rosy, yet green and leafy fragrance. It can be used for complex and combination skin types where restoring balance is quickly needed. Rose Geranium hydrosol is wonderful kept in the refrigerator as a cool mist for hot flashes. Lovely in the bathtub and very erotic!
Helichrysum Hydrosol
Helichrysum italicum –
Facial: Use daily as a high antioxidant facial toner to hydrate and repair aging or damaged skin. May be used to prepare area for Veriditas Rose Regeneration Oil. Body: A rejuvenating toner for the décolleté . Use as a deeply restorative skin treatment for any area of the skin in need of deep repair. Helichrysum is also known as “Immortelle” and “Everlasting.”
Lavender Hydrosol
Lavendula angustifolia – Provence, France
Tastes and smells like a lavender-honey mist! Lavender hydrosol is ideal for all skin types to balance, tone and restore dry skin. Lavender hydrosol also promotes cell repair to treat aging skin and is an excellent coolant for minor burns, sunburns, rashes, irritation, sores and soothing sensitive skin. It is the most relaxing and balancing hydrosol of our skin collection. Mist the face liberally to cool a hot flash or calm your mood. Mild enough for newborns, the cool mist can aid in soothing cranky babies. Wonderful as a facial mist, body perfume, douche-spray, deodorant or air freshener.

Melissa officinalis – Provence, France
Skin: Melissa’s profoundly soothing qualities help inner beauty to shine through by dissipating stress held in the face. Use regularly to reduce facial muscle tension and soften complexion.
Body: Deeply relaxing, spray any time to reduce anxiety and nourish the nervous system. Soothing for children of all ages. Melissa is also known as “Lemon Balm.”
Orange Blossom Hydrosol
Citrus aurantium – Casablanca, Morocco
Princess of Nerola, Italy, introduced the essence of bitter orange tree as a fashionable fragrance by using it to perfume her gloves and her bath. Since then, the name of Neroli has been used to describe this orange blossom essence. Neroli has a refreshing and distinctive, spicy aroma with sweet and flowery notes. Folks often buy the hydrosol instead of the essential oil to save a few dollars because like Rose otto, it is very expensive and the true thing is a rare find. Especially good for oily and mature skin types, neroli is a natural astringent and anti-bacterial tonic effective for detoxifying oily, congested and/or blemished skin. Its regenerative properties promote hydration, tone, and cellular regeneration.

Rose Hydrosol is a wonderful toner for all skin types, used to rebalance PH after one has used a cleanser and before applying a moisturizer.
